2026 Photo/Art Contest
Accepting Entries: March 16-April 3, 2026
We are celebrating our 5th annual Boiology photo/art contest this year! The Department of Biology invites members of our community (broadly-defined) to share photos of biologists in action, interesting micrographs, or Biology-themed works of art for our inaugural Photo/Art contest.
Winning entries will be selected for framing and mounting on our Biology gallery wall on the first floor of Gottwald. The top three entries will be awarded prizes!
Submission Process
Photos (or images of 2D works of art) may be submitted starting Monday, March 16, by uploading them here.
The Fine Print
- Carefully read the complete contest rules here before submitting your entries.
- The deadline for submitting photos is on or before 5 pm on April 3, 2026.
- Submissions will be evaluated by the Biology Department Awards Committee; winning entries may be displayed in Gottwald, included in future University publications, and/or showcased on the Biology website.
- All submissions (winning and non-winning entries) may be used in marketing activities for the purpose of promoting the Biology Department and the University of Richmond.
- Winners will be announced on April 20 at the Biology Department awards luncheon (12-1pm, Gottwald Atrium).
